The Woman Behind the Camera

Welcome, I’m Ariane Moshayedi.

I’m a wife, mom to three kids (& one bulldog), and Southern California-based photographer who’s obsessed with bringing beauty into others’ spaces. I didn’t always know I’d be a photographer, but serving people has always been at the heart of what I do.

I graduated from UCSB before receiving two Masters degrees from NYU in social work and educational leadership. I wanted to go into education as a school principal, but after a few years working as a high school social worker, middle school teacher, and intern assistant principal, I picked up a camera for fun — and instantly fell in love.

I taught myself how to shoot a film camera and DSLR on my own, launching my first photography business 15-plus years ago as a wedding photographer before transitioning to family and landscape photography.

While I’m no longer working in education, one of my deepest values is still creating a warm, informative, and personal experience for each of my customers. I want each customer to feel like they can ask me anything about their art — where it should go in their home, what framing might look best, and even how to style one of my photos in an existing gallery wall — and know they’ll get an honest answer.

This isn’t a click-through, big-box retail experience where you get a flimsy print that a thousand other people have hanging in their home. This is customizable, luxury, one-of-a-kind art from someone who’s passionate about giving you a personalized experience.
